Monetary units

When run through the API, the units of each attribute are given in the attributes table. In particular, Prodrisk expects prices and end values in EUR/MWh. Implicitly, Prodrisk does not operate with real currencies or exchange rates. Hence users are free to interprete Euro and cent as any other currency, e.g., NOK and øre, as long as this is done consistently for all input and output.

If Prodrisk is run on a data folder through the command-line interface, the default behavior differs from the API. If the data folder does not contain the file currency.txt, then Prodrisk assumes that prices are given in øre/kWh. The currency can be changed by adding currency.txt to the folder.

We recommend that command-line users apply the same settings as the API, i.e., a currency file with the following content:
